Data protection declaration
This data protection declaration explains the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of visitors’ and users’ personal data (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Users”) by Nitehog Europe GmbH, Pistoriusstraße 6a, D-13086 Berlin (hereinafter referred to as “Provider”) as the responsible party in terms of data protection law.

Collection of access data from the log file
The Provider collects data about every access (log) to the online offer (through the so-called “server log files”). The access data include name of the retrieved web page, file, date and time of the retrieval, transmitted data volume, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (previously visited webpage), the IP address and the requesting Provider.
The Provider uses the log data without any references to the identity of the user or other profiling according to the legal regulations only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimisation of the online offer. However, the Provider reserves the right to subsequently check the log data, if there are concrete evidences for the legitimate suspicion of unlawful use.
Processing and use of personal data
Personal data are collected and used by the Provider only if this is legally permitted or provided the users have consented to the data collection. In general, it is evident for the users of the service which data are stored, such as name, email address and message when using the order form.
The personal data (such as name, email address, postal address, payment details) for the purpose of ordering goods are used by the Seller to fulfill and perform the contract. These data are treated confidentially, transmitted in encrypted form and are not passed on to third parties who are not involved in the ordering, delivery and payment processes.
When contacting the Provider (by means of the contact form or email), the user’s data are stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry as well as in the event of additional questions.
The Provider shall take organisational, contractual and technical security measures to ensure that the provisions of the data protection laws are complied with and in order to prevent any accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access of data by unauthorised persons.
Data forwarding to third parties
The data of the users are only forwarded to third parties, if this is legally permitted or a user has consented to the data forwarding.
This is, for example, the case when the data is passed on to fulfill the contractual obligations towards the User and the postal address is transferred to a freight forwarding company after an order from the online shop, or if the data are requested by competent bodies such as law enforcement agencies.
The personal data of the users are by no means sold or passed on to third parties for advertising purposes or for the purpose of creating user profiles.
Cookies
The Provider uses “cookies” as part of his online offer. Cookies are small files, which can be stored on the User’s computer and can record information for the Provider. Temporary cookies are deleted after the browser is closed, permanent cookies are kept for a certain period of time, and can be made available with their information content when the online offer is accessed again.
In general, cookies are applied to facilitate the use of the service. For example, a cookie saves the shopping basket status of the User.
The User can certainly influence the use of the cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or prevent cookies from being stored and saved. Google Analytics
The Provider makes use of Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” or text files that are stored on users’ computers and which allow the analysis of the website use through the user. In general, the information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by the users is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
However, in the event of activation of the IP anonymisation on this website, the IP address of the Google user is only processed further in abbreviated (shortened) form in the Member States of the European Union (EU) or in other signatories (contracting parties) to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA) in order to prevent direct personal references. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address shall be transferred to a Google server in the USA and subsequently abbreviated. The IP anonymisation is active on our website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google may use this information to evaluate the website use by the users, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide other services to the website operator related to the website and the internet use.
The IP address provided by your browser as part of the Google Analytics process will not be amalgamated (brought together) with other Google data. The users can prevent the cookies’ saving by a relevant setting of the browser software. However, the Provider advises the User that in this case, he may not be able to use in full all the functions of this website. Use of Facebook Social Plugins
Social plugins (hereinafter referred to as “plugins”) of the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (hereinafter referred to as “Facebook”), are used on this website. The plugins are identifiable by the Facebook logo (white letter “f” on a blue background or a thumb up icon) or the notice “Facebook Social Plugin”. When a user accesses a website related to this online offer and containing such a plugin, his browser connects directly to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to the user’s browser and integrated into the website by the browser. The Provider has therefore no influence on the data extent Facebook is collecting via this plugin and informs the users according to the current state of knowledge: By incorporating the plugins, Facebook is informed that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the online offer. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can attach the website visit to his or her Facebook account. If a user interacts with the plugins, for example, by pressing the Like button or by posting comments, the corresponding information is sent by the users’ browser directly to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a Facebook member, there is the possibility for Facebook to find and save his IP address. According to Facebook, only anonymised IP addresses are saved in Germany.

If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about him or her through this online shop and to link it to his Facebook member data, it is necessary to log out of Facebook before visiting other websites and to delete the corresponding Facebook cookies. It is also possible to block Facebook social plugins with add-ons for the browser, for example by using the option “Facebook Blocker”.
+1 Button Google
The buttons of Google+ social network (e.g., “+1” button) operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (hereinafter referred to as “Google”) are used on our website. When a user visits a website related to this online offer that contains such a button, the browser establishes a direct link to Google’s servers. The content of the buttons is transmitted by Google directly to its browser and is integrated into the website. Therefore the Provider has no influence on the data extent that Google collects through the buttons.
According to Google no personal data are collected without a click on the button. Only when members of Google+ are logged on, such data, including the IP address of the user, are collected and processed. When a user browses a website that contains such a button, his or her browser establishes a direct connection to Twitter servers. The content of the Twitter buttons is transmitted directly from Twitter to the user’s browser. Use of Pinterest buttons
The buttons (“Pin It”) of the service Pinterest, http://pinterest.com, can be used on our website. With the help of the buttons it is possible for the users to share the articles of the provider on their “Pinterest Boards”.
When a user visits a website that contains a “Pin it” button, his or her browser connects directly to Pinterest servers. The content of the “Pin It” button is sent by Pinterest directly to the user’s browser. Therefore, the Provider has no influence on the data extent that Pinterest collects through the “Pin It” button and informs the users according to the current state of knowledge. Cancellation, changes, corrections and updates
On request, the user has the right, on request, to receive free of charge information about his or her personal data stored by the provider. Contact details can be found in the provider’s imprint.
